Christian de la Cortina is a Canadian actor, writer, and director. He speaks English, Spanish, and French fluently.
He has a diploma in cinema from INIS (National Institute for Film Studies) and has taken numerous acting classes, including workshops with renowned coach Warren Robertson. As well, he holds a degree in commerce from the University of Sherbrooke.
Christian had his start in the film industry upon graduation from University. His acting skills have landed him numerous leading roles in several movies and TV series, including 4 Soldats directed by Robert Morin, La Marraine directed by Alain Desroches, “O” directed by Frédérik D’Amours and Eric Tessier, and many others.
Inspired by successful actors/filmmakers such as Edward Burns, Tyler Perry, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, Christian de la Cortina decided to write, produce and act in his own films. In this light, he has produced three feature films.
His first independent film, “Carjacking”, was released and distributed by Entertainment One and sold in more than seven countries around the world including Japan, France, and Russia. The film had impressive sales across Canada with more than 6500 DVD copies sold.
His second feature film, “Generation Wolf” had a limited theatrical release in October 2016 while also being selected by several film festivals around the world, winning the Best Latin Film Award at Borregos Springs Film Festival. It also won the Award of Excellence International Feature at Catalina Film Festival in 2017 (www.generationwolf.com).
His third feature film, "The Office Games", is a comedy produced for just under 1.5M$ and is currently on post-production.
